I do not wish to track surveys. I want to keep them anonymous.

For anonymous survey responses use the anonymous survey link tag: <ANONYMOUS_SURVEY_LINK>

If you use anonymous link, there would not be any record of who has taken the survey and who has not. Hence, if you use anonymous link and use send reminder option, the reminder will be sent out to the entire email list

What is Survey Link Text?

When the respondent opens the invitation, he sees some text which is hyperlinked. This text upon clicking, takes them to the survey. With the help of Survey Link text option you can chose your own text.

How can I identify who has taken the survey and who has not?

For automated respondent identification, you have to use the email list management system, either by sending emails directly from the system or by using the export batch for external distribution option. When you schedule email delivery through the QuestionPro system, every email address is uniquely identified and coded. This enables the identification of who has taken the survey and who has not. The email address is saved with the response, is available in the Response Viewer, and is also available with Excel and CSV downloads.

If I put a link on a website, what can I do?

When you put a link on a website, the responses will be tracked anonymously. The best solution is such cases (where you are not sending an email invitation to the survey) is to add a question in your survey asking the respondents to enter their email address.

What if I use my own email program to send the invitations?

We provide an Export batch for External Distribution option. You can generate a batch for External Distribution and distribute the survey using your own email program to send out email links (invitations) to the survey. The responses will be tracked and also you will have detailed statistics for the email addresses.

If the respondent leaves the survey at any point of time, and if he clicks on the same survey link in the email invitation, will he be able to proceed from where he left off?

Yes, by default "Save as you go" feature is enabled for all surveys. The respondent will be able to take the survey from where he left off by clicking on the same survey invitation link which he received from the survey sender, irrespective of which browser the respondent is taking the survey.

What if the customized URL is used in the email body while sending out the survey?

If we try sending out the survey using the email addresses those details won't be tracked under reports as the customized URL acts as anonymous link.
