Respondent Location Data

When a respondent answers the survey, we capture respondents IP address and associated data including location data based on the IP address. This data is stored in Longitude and Latitude format and can be used to locate approximate location on a map.

On the individual response, it is also displayed on a map:

You can disable location tracking for a particular survey, or for your account, or for the entire organization.

To disable location tracking for a particular survey:

Go to: Login » My Surveys (Select Survey) » Edit » Settings

To disable location tracking for your account:

Go to: Login » My Account » Global Settings

No. By default, location data capture is enabled. So responses collected with this setting enabled will have location data saved along with the responses.

As soon as you disable location data capture, all new responses will be saved without the location data.
